Are you an emulator developer? If you'd like a user flair reflecting that. Kinda' like the Xbox emulation scene before CXBX-R took off, as most Xbox titles have ports available for other platforms. Android's open nature also contributed to people's inclination towards emulating it instead. Problem is there are some boneheaded devs/publishers who lock themselves in Apple's bubble, namely certain kids' games from the Fancy Nancy series, American Girl, Penguin Interactive, and a few Japanese developers (due to Android being the more piracy-prone platform), hence why iOS emulation is sought after. This is factually absolutely wrong.
Cxbx-Reloaded is a re-vitalization of the Cxbx project, which is from early 2003 and had active development until. I don't know 2010 or something. Xbox emulation is nothing new. Xbox emulation is not a problem with lack of trying. It's just a lack of having skilled people to do research, organization and half-assed emulation attempts which get way too much credit. The community also doesn't seem to have a long-term memory and keeps running into the same problems. In my opinion, all the Cxbx-Reloaded and recent XQEMU hype shows some of this quite well: Even if there is little actual progress forward, users get hyped, claiming it's the first time it has been done.
To be fair: There's lots of work behind the scenes in all Xbox emulation projects, so hype would be valid; but from my point of view, users often get hyped about the wrong things, where hype is not valid. Also: Cxbx-Reloaded was started in April 2016 for coding-fun, not so much to finally settle the problem of Xbox emulation (it was HLE, which should already make this obvious). By then LLE emulation projects like XQEMU (started in 2012) and MAME (I don't know when they started on Chihiro) were already very active and emulated a lot of games; let alone existing HLE work on Cxbx, Xeon and many other projects. It was HLE but plan has always been to add LLE due to obvious HLE issues, in particular how Cxbx implemented it. Recently the XQEMU GPU was duplicated (as in: copied) to Cxbx-Reloaded which makes GPU LLE possible. You need to explicitly turn it on in the configuration.
The way the Cxbx-Reloaded LLE GPU is hooked up makes it much slower than in XQEMU where it originated from (and where it's still being enhanced independently of the Cxbx-Reloaded duplicate). The XQEMU GPU in Cxbx-Reloaded has already diverged from the XQEMU one (sacrificing accuracy but improving code quality). I believe there's also still many issues which prevent Cxbx-Reloaded from going all-in for GPU LLE - at least with any acceptable performance. Having a LLE GPU is a step in the right direction, but I don't think Cxbx-Reloaded has developers who are able to work on the GPU in the current form (as it's quite sophisticated and many parts are still missing). So until they re-sychronize with the XQEMU GPU, learn a lot (which is hard as there's no tutorial about Xbox GPUs), or attract new developers and researchers, the LLE path in Cxbx-Reloaded is not going to be beneficial for users. So technically Cxbx-Reloaded is HLE with a GPU LLE (which is the most important LLE part) now, but realisticly, nobody is going to use it for a long time.
